About Us

At Burgoon Furniture Company, our craftsmen are dedicated to making each piece of handcrafted furniture better than it has to be. Our central location in the Allegheny Plateau of Northwestern Pennsylvania enables us to choose the highest quality hardwood to build furniture that is functional, beautiful and timeless.

Each piece of furniture is made to order and completely hand made of solid hardwood. Our process starts with the careful selection of primarily wide boards to give the craftsman flexibility to control the grain type and symmetry. Each board is unique, like a fingerprint, in grain and color making all of our products one of a kind.

We construct each piece using traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery throughout the case, making the piece durable for hundreds of years. On the drawers, we use crescent-and-pin joinery for added stability as well as flair.

The classic designs of our furniture never goes out of style and fits any décor. Our appliqués are hand carved to add an elegant touch to the furniture and we use only solid brass handles and hardware. To finish each piece, we use a ten-step process which ensures richness and depth of colors.
